Who We Are
My name is Sam Vander Haar, Founder and Head Coach of Precision Punting.
I started this academy with a clear vision: to pass on the technical skills, discipline, and competitive mindset I developed throughout my career at the Division 1 Power 4 level, to the next generation of punters.
At Precision Punting, we develop complete specialists. Our training covers every phase of the game, including pro-style punting, rollouts, directional and pin/pooch punting, along with the mental performance required to compete at the highest level.
Our goal is simple: to prepare athletes to perform and stand out at showcases, summer camps, and college camps to ultimately earn opportunities to play at the next level.

As a coach, I understand that no two athletes are the same.
Every player is at a different stage in their development, which is why I tailor each session to your individual needs and goals.
I take a detailed, hands-on approach by identifying key areas for improvement and working with you to build a structured plan focused on technique, consistency, and overall performance.
You can expect a professional environment where you’re held to a high standard, your progress is tracked, and your development is consistent. I believe this approach to training will have the athlete best prepared to compete with confidence at the next level.
